I always love walking past the Hotel Chelsea in NYC. Honestly, I love walking past most things in NYC that have Chelsea in the name. But regardless of that, when I walk past that old hotel and when I've gone in for a drink, I always think about the crazy rock n' roll history that went down in it.'The place where Sid killed Nancy, Edie Sedgewick got wasted and started a fire, Bob Dylan sang and Janice Joplin hung out is ideal inspiration for an artsy, naked, wasted shoot. The resulting images are moody and intense and reminds you that people used to be cooler. '
