March 11, 2011, Mumbai: It was an evening of high octane glamour when gorgeous Miss Earth 2000 Diya Mirza and debonair Bollywood star Zayed Khan ended the very crisp trendy Cantabil show styled by popular designer Rocky S for Summer/Resort 2011 at Lakmé Fashion Week.

In a span of ten years, the Cantabil brand has brought to India the best in international styles for formal party and casual wear. The stylish line up of T-shirts, denims, shorts, shirts, dresses, jeans, skirts, blouses and capris for men and women  has given Cantabil the reputation of being the top brand for the discerning dresser.

Presenting a brisk edgy show with the creative styling of Rocky S, there was a mix of contemporary and popular styles in great summer colours like yellow, Kelly green, scuba and Victoria blue for the opening range. For the more formal look, the colour card included white, beige, khaki and grey. The fabric choice was cool cottons, linens and glamorous sheer printed chiffons and silks.

For the fashionable male Cantabil showed polo shirts in vibrant colours, smartly cut shirts in checks or stripes, teamed with suits which were featured in a variety of one, two and three button closures. The sharply cut jackets, with narrow lapels and in lean silhouettes to match the trousers, were in pastel summer colours. Waistcoats, Bermudas with turn-ups and trousers in bright hues completed the look.

Women’s wear was ultra casual with off-shoulder Tees teamed with shredded shorts or skinny pants, knit tunics with Lycra stretch pants, one shoulder tubes with printed leggings, floral cotton shorts, cut-away armhole checked tops and figure hugging jeans and pants.

For the formal look, women’s wear had chiffon mini kaftans, and printed blousons, a polka dotted red gypsy dress, a striking beige Jumpsuit, a flame red buttoned mini and a cute white frilly peasant dress

Zayed Khan strutted confidently down the ramp in a grey one-button suit while Diya Mira gracefully glided down the catwalk in a layered white chiffon gown.
