 my new 'Almost Famous' sunglasses from the cobra snake...they are huge, ridiculous and I heart them.

 the Jeffrey Campbell Foxy Fab in stars and stripes.  I squealed and giggled when I put them on and can't wait to make them white trash chic.

 

 the skirt that I'm wearing today that my fab mommy made for me while teaching me how to sew last fall.  blue velvet, thank you mama!

my latest project of turning my hallway into a 'studio' for my jewelry design.  still a total work in progress, I have big additions to it coming this weekend!  

Orange You Glad!

All my life there was one color that I swore was the only color I hated and didn't look good on anyone. And that color is orange. Maybe it was the abundance of orange surrounding my childhood in the form of hunting suits that started my initial turnoff of the color. But the arrival of spring/summer 2011 has me changing my tune. I am loving the color on everything from shoes, to dresses, to nail polish and to lip color. It adds a great unexpected pop to any outfit and is fun alternative to your traditional red. When it's warm enough to get some sun (or at least convincingly pull off a fake tan) this color is going to rock my wardrobe!

While its been making appearance on many runways and Hollywood's most stylish this spring, I know there are some that are iffy on putting it into your beauty routine. But with a shade of orange to flatter everyone, you can't go wrong with a bright pedicure or pop of lip gloss in this season's IT color!

A Springtime Ode to Jeffrey Campbell

It is the time of year that all around are cute Easter dresses for little girls in store windows and brightly colored candy everywhere. The trees and flowers are finally starting to blossom and the sun is shining longer. But the biggest sign of spring for me has to be in my shoe closet! I have been preparing for this time for weeks and months now and it is just about here...and of course, Jeffrey Campbell has been right there with me (Thanks to Solestruck and Nasty Gal). My brand new Litas, Fords, and Mariels will be putting that extra spring in my step this season and maybe if I am extra good, the Easter Bunny might slip an extra pair in my basket this year!

(and yes, sometimes I have photo shoots with my shoes.)

Will (and do) Work For Shoes

Some days when I can't find the motivation to get my butt to work, I remind myself that if nothing else, I work for shoes. Then putting on my favorite pair before I leave the apartment makes the whole day better.
